Founded in 1974 with 5 teams, 75 youngsters, and a small group of people dedicated to the well-being of children, our KSC of today has grown to well over 180 teams with more than 5,500 children ages 4 through 19 in our programs.

In the early years, we did not enjoy the beautiful complex we have today. Volunteers scrambled for fields at schools and parks throughout New Castle County.   Today, we have ongoing relationships with more than 30 regional soccer groups providing them with quality soccer fields and facilities. 

Our successful 1990 Capital Campaign resulted in the construction of the 13-field complex we enjoy today.   We also built a facility to house an indoor field, equipment, concession stand, rest rooms, and parking space.  At that time, we served 1,600 boys and girls ages 5 to 18 annually.  Since then we have grown nearly 350%.  Today we serve more than 5,500 children each year.
